The Xemzija Bay Pillbox is located some 80 Metres to the West of the Xemzija Bay Defence Post. The Xemzija Bay Pillbox is a chevron shaped concrete structure with one pair of machine guns facing East and another pair facing North. There is an observation slit between each pair of these pairs of machine guns for sighting. There is rock cut steps leading to the pillbox entrance from a bunker to the rear. There is also a solid defence wall on the Eastern side, probably to engage any enemy attempting to land in the bay. This would therefore appear to be a defence point with the Pillbox, Bunker and defence wall.
