Beach Defence Post GT1 is a polygonal shaped pillbox situated to cover the beach with at least two machine gun loopholes. The post is now used for storage but it is still possible to see at least one of the two original Vickers Machine Gun Tables. It does not appear to have Lyon Light Position, but this may have been destroyed. This Defence Post is below Beach Defence Post GT2.
