Tl-Barumbara Rooftop Pillbox is built onto the upper storey of an old farmhouse. The rectangular pillbox is constructed of concrete with the usual iron bands protecting the loopholes. The amount of dead ground must have been considerable, but it is possible the remainder of the farm building was also fortified. This was parimarly to defend Hal Fa Airfield from an airborne attack.
