The HMG Pillbox at Chadwick Lakes is situated on a promontory above the smaller square MG Pillbox. This pillbox is accessed through a roof hatch and has two loopholes with Heavy Machine Gun Tables. The positions coves the main North to South road that runs below.
It is apparent that the single storey pillbox is made of concrete with corrugated iron used as shuttering. On the roof, in order to provide some camouflage, the angle of the corrugated iron has been varied. This will help disrupted aerial photography.
