Beach Defence Post P9 has been partially destroyed for road building. This old style pillbox is situated on what is now the San Paul and originally covered the junction and adjacent beach. It would appear to have had a least two machine gun tables with an observations position in the centre. At least half of the pillbox has been destroyed for road building. It would appear to be rock clad concrete pillbox built before 1939.
