10th and 11th Rosia Batteries

10th Rosia Battery was immediately adjacent to Parson’s Lodge Battery and part of the line of defence that streached up to Buena Vista.   The whole length was covered by a musketry wall, sometimes with loop holes and the Machicolation Gallery.

In 1859, 10th Rosia was armed with 1 8-inch Howitzer.  In 1886 is is shown to have no guns.

In 1859, 11th Rosia armed with two 8-inch Howitzers, increased to three Howitzers by 1886.
