La Batterie du Phare (Lighthouse Battery) was built in 1898 and mounted four 19 cm guns. These 1875-76 models of this High Angle Fire Gun (Mortar). The gun line is constructed of masonary bricks with concrete. The guns are in barbette positions. Between each gun there are underground crew shelters and expense magazines. This is one of the better preserved batteries. It is similar to other batteries including the more overgrown Batterie d’ Andrahomposty, Batterie de la Bai des Boutres, and Batterie de L-Hospital
