Centurion Battery is believed to have been built by the British at the start of the 1900s on Wei Hai Wei. It appears it was initially called Bluff Battery. It would appear to be a standard configuration of a 6-inch BL gun battery with two guns. It is not believed than the British ever mounted any ordinance in the position. The site was later used by the Japanese to mount Krupp guns.
