Munden’s Upper Searchlight is situated on the top of the old Munden Point Battery. Racers for an old gun emplacement can actually be seen under the walls of the searchlight building. This single searchlight has an extension to the rear and this may well have been built during World War 2. The searchlight emplacement lies adjacent to the casemated 7-inch RML battery.
This small structure is situated above the two defence electric lights at Mundens Lower Searchlight position.
