Sea Grove Position Finding Station was built on the foreshore just to the south of Sea View. It is shown as being a transmitting station with three cells. The site is surrounded with 4 foot 6-inch high palisade fence with nine boundary stones marked. 1913 plans for the site show two of the cells are not in use, while Cell Number 2 serves the 9.2-inch guns at Puckpool.
The three cells are partially buried in the ground with concrete in the rear. The date of building is estimated to be about 1891 although this is not confirmed.
The UK National Archives holds two sets of plan in respect of this site, WO 78.4366 and WO 78.4897. These two sets would appear to be duplicates.
The site has now been lost to development with a modern beach front home built over the site. It would appear that the Boundary Stones have also been lost..
