Redcliff Battery was built between 1861 and 1863 to mount four 7-inch RBL guns.  This downgraded to four 64-pdr RML gun in 1879.  In 1892 this was reduced to three 64-pdr 58cwt RML guns.

The site was abandoned by 1900 and the whole site has been lost to the sea.  Nothing of note remains of Redcliff Battery.
