Round Tower

The Round Tower at Cliff End Battery is located on the highest point at the East end of the Battery, adjacent to the Brennan Torpedo Observation Station and Round Tower Position Finding Station.  It is not a round tower, but is hexagonal in shape with six sides.  It would appear that it was initially just a single level wall with loopholes, a caponier.  Later a further storey was added with additional loopholes crudely cut through the concrete.
