Battery Hall is one of the five coastal defence batteries built at Fort Wint, on Grande Island. The Battery was built by the United States between 1907 and 1910.
Battery Hall has two 6-inch M1905 guns mounted on Buffington-Crozier disappearing carriages. The site was badly damaged by US bombing in 1945 and although the damaged guns remain, little of the underground works are left.
