This is a stone clad pillbox built to mount two heavy machine guns. The pillbox forms part of the Mellieha Defence Line running across the Island.
The pillbox is in good condition and both of the machine gun tables remain intact. There is central observation turret with a step inside for the observer to view through the slits.
