Mellieha West Position

Mellieha West Position is one of four defence positions built along the Mellieha Ridge Line at the end of the 19th Century.  The position has a section of stone loopholes with a rock cut trench to the rear.  The trench running to the rear has a traverse protecting the entrance and ledge at the end.

There is no indication that Maxim Machine Guns were mounted at this position.
