Luqa Airfield Pillbox 7 is one of the numerous pillboxes built around Luqa airfield to defence the location from airborne assault. After the fall of Crete the British anticipated a similar airborne assault on the key points and airfields of Malta.

Luqa Airfield Pillbox 7 lies just of the West of the main airfield. It is slightly raised on a stone platform and has two loopholes on each side. Each of the loopholes has metal strips to help protect it from incoming fire.
