Il-Kuncizzjoni MG Pillbox is a repurposed Defence Electric Light emplacement.
The redoubt at Il-Kuncizzjoni was built to support the Defence Electric Light situated just below in 1899. In 1939 this Defence Electric Light position was converted to become a machine gun pillbox. The front of the position was filled with concrete and the whole structure was reinforced.
The interior shows a single machine gun table and another loophole for a Bren or similar light machine gun.
