It is believed that this building is a Gun Post based on a site visit. The structure has a reinforced concrete roof and a water reservoir has been built adjacent to it. It is suggest that the front of the building would have been open for the gun.
The structure is in dead ground and gives good coverage of the coastline to the South.
It is thought that this would have mounted an 18-pdr which would be dismantled to be shipped. It could also have been a lighter howritzer.
