Gun Post 11 does not appear on any contemporary maps and has been identified from site visits. It is believed to be a very early gun post built at the start of World War 2. The Gun Post is a simple building with large ‘I’ beam holding up a concrete roof. It is assumed that this housed a field gun, such as an 18-pdr or possibly a 12-pdr Q.F. gun.
