10-inch BL gun

In 1896 a 10-inch BL gun was mounted on the top of the Cavalier at Saint Elmo Fort.  This gun was mounted in a barbette emplacement with a magazine below.  The emplacement can still be seen in part, but a large Fire Control Post was built to the front  of the original gun position in about 1939.  This Fire Command Post partially covers the old 10-inch gun emplacement.
