The Corradino Strong Point is built on the old Corradino Lines. It is a fixed position, intended for a tripod mounted machine gun that covers the Northern end of the Corradino Lines. It is composed of a metal gun shield, probably from a 12-pdr or similar light gun, which had been fixed on the ramparts with two metal bars. Stone blocks have then been used to further screen the position. The old hole in the shield was used as loophole for the machine gun. The gun crew would be able to shelter behind the shield and stones while standing on the ramparts operating the machine gun.
