Beach Defence Post T5 is situated on a small headland overlooking the West side of St Thomas Bay. There is an accommodation building immediately behind the Defence Post, possibly for the use of the personnel manning the nearby Gun Post 9. This is a Category C Defence Post with central turret above the second floor.
There is also a short tunnel built across the headland which would have acted as an air raid shelter. An emplacement appears to have built at the East end of this tunnel. This emplacement overlooks St Thomas Bay.
