Beach Defence Post P12 is a pentagonal pillbox which was armed with one Vickers Machine Gun and one Bren Gun. There is an observation slit between the two emplacements. The entrance to the pillbox is on the seaward side and is therefore protected by a blast wall.
The reinforced concrete pillbox was built in 1940 to withstand hits from 75mm artillery and 250kg bombs.
The pillbox has recently been restored.
