Beach Defence Post J3 has been destroyed but there the foundations remain visible. The footprint of the pillbox and some reinforced concrete rubble lie on a thin neck of land joining Il Quarrabe peninsular to the mainland. This location would have been in dead ground to hostile vessels at sea.
The pillbox appears to have had two loopholes, one covering Ghajin Tuffieha Bay and the other Gnejna Bay. There is a small, just to rear of the pillbox site, that would appear to have been used as an annex. There is concrete used to fill cracks in this cave.
It is possible that Beach Defence Post J3 was in fact down on the shoreline according to archive maps. If that is the case, then this looks more like a Gun Post.
