West Q.F. Battery is now known as Lei Yue Mun Pass Battery. It was completed in 1892 and consists of two casemated 6-pdr Hotchkiss gun emplacements. The two emplacements are linked by a concrete corridor and there is a magazine half way along to supply the guns.
This type of casemated position for 6-pdr guns is not common in British works, but appears similar to Syriam Minefield Battery built about the same time.
