Fort Pembroke, Guernsey was used both for a coastal defence battery and star fort. The star fort originally mounted six SB guns, but the earthen ramparts have now been largely lost. The coastal defence battery, originally called Le Platon, survives.
In 1842 Fort Pembroke (battery) was upgraded and armed with one 32-pdr long gun and two 32-pdr short guns. Later a single large gun was placed on a traversing carriage on the salient looking out towards the sea.
Fort Pembroke Battery is now private property.
