Montague Curtain joins Montague Bastion to Orange Bastion. A later gateway was built into the Curtain giving access to the area behind Montague Counterguard.
There are six gun embrasures on the curtain which mounted 32-pdr guns. There is no record of these guns ever being upgraded in the latter half of the 19th Century.
