Jews Cemetery Battery was built between 27th May 1889 and 15th February 1891 to mount a single 9.2-inch Mark IV BL gun on a Mark I mount. The gun was upgraded to a 9.2-inch Mark VI in 1901 and then to a 9.2-inch Mark X on a Mark V mounting in 1906. The Battery was deactivated in 1928.
The battery and underground works are largely intact although now used as a monument.
