Fortress Command is a small stretch of tunnel built under Breakneck Battery that has an observation cell facing west and another facing east.  The three rooms are a separate telephone room for each of the observations cells, and a chart room in the centre.  The rock above the rooms was a water catchment feeding two 600 galleon tanks.  The Kitchen and ablutions were built on externally on the west side.  The official plans indicate that position was built between 26th May 1904 and 30th June 1905 for a cost of £1,650.
