Cave Position Finding Cell was approved on 25th June 1903, later amalgamated with Martin’s (or Mediterranean) Position Finding Station on the Mediterranean Steps. It was then called Cell VII of Martin Position Finding Station. The Cell was completed in 1907, the same time as Breakneck Battery, which it served. The cell was adjacent to Martin’s Cave, and well camouflaged with stones on the roof.
Cave PFC was again used during World War 2 and it would appear some concrete was added for protection. Part of the roof has now fallen in.
