North Berwick Law

North Berwick Law in a sharp sided hill of 187 metres with clear views of the approaches to the Firth of Forth.  There are indications that there was an observation post here, dating back to the Napoleonic Wars which included barrack accommodation.  There is a more modern style observation post that is believed to date from at least 1914 but could be earlier.  It does not appear on maps until 1948.
