St Mawes Searchlight Directing Station was an underground cell bit on the northern edge of the 12-pdr Battery above St Mawes Castle.  Believed to have been built about 1900, it was used to control the two searchlights on the shoreline below St Mawes Castle.  The whole structure remains in good condition.
