Ouvrage A, Cap Diego Line

Ouvrage A, on the southern end of the Cap Diego  Line is also known as Fort des Mapous.  Built between 1902 and 1904 in a similar basic design to the other two Ouvrage that form this Defence Line.  Similar to Ouvrage C at the other end of the Cap Diego Defence Line, this position has a single magazine and Casemate de Bourges.  The casemate mounts two 95 mm guns.  There is another building is believed to be a shelter for the half company with two machine guns, intended to defend the Fort.
