This is a pair of Position Finding Cells located in a small cutting built into the hillside midway between Lion Battery and the Fire Commander’s Post on Lion Hill. One of the Cells faces northwest towards Green Point and the other faces east towards the harbour. It is assumed the cells were built in the 1890s, about the same time at Seapoint Ridge Position Finding Station. There was also some Position Finding Cells adjacent to Lion Battery.
