Listing Type : Coastal Battery
Location : England

Laboratory Battery had two 7-inch RML guns which both survive on site.  The guns were mounted in barbette emplacement.  The two magazines have survived in good condition, but all the facing stone has been removed during World War 2 and used to face the quayside.  The removal of these facing stones allows for the ventilation ducts to be seen.

This battery is named after the old Laboratory used for filling shells etc.,  which was located nearby.
