Lonehort DEL emplacement is located to the east of Lonehort Battery. The site includes two DEL emplacements,including one square one of earlier design but with round steel shutter. The other is of later design and placed on the foreshore. This emplacement has been badly damaged by sea action. There is a small brick crew shelter building and trenches.
This is shown on contemporary maps as the location for DEL 8 which probably referred to the later emplacement on the shoreline. The Electric Light Directing Station for this complex was believed to be the concrete observation post on the south east corner of Lonehort Battery.
