Guard House

The Guard House at Fort Charlotte lies to the west of the main fortifications and is designed as a blockhouse. The complex was built at the same time as the fort, 1787 – 1798. It has a long triangular angle, similar to Fort Fincastle, off to the west. Adjacent to the Guard House there was a barrack block which has now been demolished.
